Perspective Series: A Designed Day Of Connected Conversation

September 23, 2026: Wednesday, 9:30 am - 6:00 pm

This Designed Day brings designers and decision-makers together in a comfortable setting that reimagines continuing education as both engaging and enjoyable. The day is designed to feel like a large studio charrette, not a conference. Coffee, couches, and sofa chairs replace rigid or formal seating, creating a comfortable and conversational space. Six AIA-accredited CEU sessions follows the natural progression of a building lifecycle, aligning each presentation with the moments where decisions have the greatest impact.

A curated lunch featuring Hoboken signature dishes will be brought in (La Isla’s cubanos and Antique Bar & Bakery’s legendary meatballs), while creative engagements like a “Napkin Sketch Contest” and “Guess This Detail” keep the energy high. The afternoon transitions into a wine and design pairing experience where the conversation relaxes further and different perspectives are offered up, usually somewhere between the second pour and dessert. The day concludes with an foodie inspired dinner alongside an ICC Code official, creating conversations and connections that linger well beyond the final session.

Through curated programming, peer-to-peer dialogue, sharper insights, and practical takeaways, attendees become more informed and more empowered to apply what they’ve learned.
